Pretty Little Liars: Face Time Recap/Review

Ready for answers, bitches? Well we got some in this week's episode of 'Pretty Little Liars', 'Face Time'. Caleb starts this episode by informing Hanna of her dad's missing gun which links to Ashley. This doesn't put Hanna into a very good mood as she starts going off on Spencer about the Melissa Mask. In a car across the street, new detectives, Gabriel Holbrook and Linda Tanner, watch the girls. These two mean business and they're gonna get to the bottom of things!

Veronica is disappointed in her daughter when Spencer admits that she didn't get into the University of Pennsylvania while Melissa looks like the golden child, poor Spencer. At Ashley's office, Hanna drops by but the detectives have made it there first and they start going through a bonds box that Wilden left behind. These new detectives are creepy and I love it. Inside the box is a lot of cash, two passports and a gun. Might this be the gun that Ashley used to shoot Wilden? That's what it's looking like but I don't believe Ashley did kill Wilden, that would be too easy.

Emily's dad is back in Rosewood because of the whole social services scandal so Emily goes back to her doctor to clear things up. It looks like things got worse though, the doctor thinks that Ems is lying. Also, he tells her that she needs surgery to fix her arm and she can't swim until then. After the surgery it is unknown if she'll be able to swim again (#ThanksObama). Hanna decides to take matters into her own hands when she meets Detective Tanner in the town square. She tries to get the detective to believe that Wilden was a bad guy but Caleb stops her from saying much more. Meanwhile, the girls start making a plan, they want to see if Melissa would have gone to Shanna or Hector about the mask. Later, Aria has a date with Jake and they run into Malcolm. Crap, I forgot about that kid.

Aria decides to tell Jake everything about Ezra and her relationship with him. I mean, if that's what she wants to do but she's gonna end up scaring this boy off. The next day, Toby meets up with Dr. Palmer who Toby learns is a little fuzzy around the edges. Palmer does say that he believes Toby's mom was pushed and he also tells Toby that there was a blonde girl who he thought was bad news. At Hanna's house, Ashley seems to be getting more nervous about Wilden and his death, especially when Hanna admits that she knows Ashley was in Rosewood the night Wilden was killed. That night, Spencer and Aria plant a Melissa Mask for Melissa to find and they then follow her as she makes her way to Hector. Team Sparia is seriously crazy. Elsewhere, Emily has an argument with her parents. Back at Hanna's, the detectives show up asking more questions but Caleb covers Ashley's tracks. At Hector's creepy shack, Melissa drags a heavy sack towards the water. Spencer first thinks it might be Hector's body but they realize that it is all the masks that Hector made of Melissa's face. I gotta say that I love Spencer for thinking it was a body. Spencer follows Melissa while Aria sneaks inside the shack. Aria finds a lot of Alison Masks while Melissa breaks all her masks outside and throws them in the water.

Aria asks Hector what's the deal with all the Ali Masks, he tells her that he didn't have the heart to throw them out cause they were so beautiful. Flashback: Ali arrived at Hector's shack one day looking for her money and then rode off in a car with somebody. Who was in the car? In the present, Spencer gets answers from Melissa: Melissa thinks Ali might still be alive, she had masks made because she got the same deal as Alison, she wasn't helping Wilden but instead she was afraid of his whacky ass, someone was giving Wilden orders (Red Coat?), Melissa has been protecting Spencer for a long time, Jenna and Shana didn't burn down the lodge instead they were watching Spencer and making sure she was okay, they didn't pull the girls out of the fire, Wilden started the fire. That's enough answers for now but Spencer soon begins to believe that Melissa killed Wilden. At the Rosewood pool, Emily gets some solace from Paige who tells Em that there's more to life than swimming. However, Emily arrives home to find out that someone contacted the police about a domestic disturbance, A.K.A. the fight Em had with her parents earlier. When Spencer gets home 'A' sends her and Aria a text that reads: "Melissa's guilty of plenty, but she's not 'A' material. Kisses." Hanna then shows up to tell the girls that she thinks her mom killed Wilden and 'A' knows. Speaking of 'A', they fished Melissa's broken masks out of the water and begin to glue them back together. That wraps up this week's episode. It's finally good to get some answers but we have so many more questions. This was a really good episode though.

Overall episode score:-
'Face Time' = A
