Pretty Little Liars: The Mirror Has Three Faces Recap/Review
There weren't a lot of shockers in 'The Mirror Has Three Faces', the latest 'Pretty Little Liars' episode, but there were a couple of 'OMG' moments. This is probably just the calm before the storm, known as #WorldWarA, and things will start heating up again next week. Firstly, Emily finds out that she will be staying with Alison's mother while the Fields' family home gets fixed up. Ems isn't real happy about it but Hanna pressures her into staying so they can all get more information. Hanna has a lot of anger issues lately, I mean she's allowed to be a little angry because her mom might get sent to jail but whatever, sister needs to chill.
The Liars' nifty tech guy, Caleb, tracks CeCe to an address in Philadelphia so they're one step closer to getting the dirt. During lunch, Aria has coffee with Jake and finds out that he has a meet in Philadelphia so she'll be able to go support her new squeeze and squeeze some info out of CeCe. In Radley, Mona is totes pissed with Wren and isn't cooperating with his annoying questions. Something tells me that there's more going on here. Later, Toby finds the sheet music at the brew, which we saw 'A' send to him last episode. Inside is a note that reads: "Leave the lamb alone and go for the lion. Kisses -A". After school, Emily moves into the DiLaurentis house but she's really creeped out to find that Ali's room remains the same, like Mrs. DiLaurentis has preserved it.
Hanna really wants to talk to Mona so she goes straight to Wren. Actually, she just wants to know if Mona has been in contact with CeCe. Wren tells her that he thinks CeCe tried to see Mona last night! Is CeCe back in Rosewood? Then Hanna leaves and Wren makes a mysterious call, it sounds like he's in cahoots with someone. Could it be CeCe, 'A' or even Red Coat? We also see Wren stalking Hanna and Caleb. Maybe he's part of the 'A' Team? Elsewhere, Spencer explains to Toby that the note from 'A' means that he should contact Dr. Palmer.
Incoming shocker: Ezra uncovers the truth, Malcolm isn't his son! Although, I don't care to be honest. I feel like this storyline was just something to keep Ezra relevant for a while. In Philly, Aria arrives and can't find CeCe anywhere, instead she talks to one of CeCe's neighbors. Neighbor chick tells Aria that Alison got CeCe kicked out of college because Ali shoved someone down the stairs and blamed it on CeCe. We saw a flashback to this in season 2. Also, the neighbor says that CeCe used to call Ali's group the 'she-devils'. Sounds like CeCe has a major axe to grind with the Liars. Back in Rosewood, Emily and Mrs. DiLaurentis chat about how Alison is gone but she seems to still be everywhere. Later, Hanna comes looking for Emily but both Ems and Mrs. DiLaurentis are nowhere to be seen. However, we see Red Coat sneaking around the house behind Hanna's back. Is Hanna an idiot!? I'm screaming at the television, telling her to turn around but of course she doesn't and Red Coat gets away again.
Ezra looks for solace in Aria but she's got a new boy toy now so she dodges his calls. In an old folks home, Spencer tricks Dr. Palmer into thinking that she's Toby's mom. The old goat reveals that he has a connection with Jessica DiLaurentis.
To find out more, Spencer questions Mrs. DiLaurentis about Dr. Palmer. Flashback: Alison and CeCe played a twisted trick when CeCe dressed up as Ali and went to Radley acting like she had lost her damn mind. Mrs. DiLaurentis was not one bit happy when she had to be called there just to find out that it was all a prank. Dr. Palmer even told Jessica that Alison and CeCe's friendship is toxic. Perhaps CeCe is the blonde that Palmer was yammering about in earlier episodes. Back in the present, Spencer brings Hanna and Caleb to her house to discuss the situation. It seems pretty creepy that Ali and CeCe used to switch personalities and Spencer believes that Hector might have made the Ali Masks so CeCe could look like Alison too. Veronica enters to tell them that she can't be Ashley's lawyer anymore because someone made an anonymous compliant saying that Veronica bullied Mona into confessing to the murder. 'Anonymous compliant' my foot, we find out that Wren is behind this. In the DiLaurentis house, a repair man tells Jessica that it looks like someone has been staying in her basement. It looks like it was Red Coat since we saw them sneaking into the house last episode. In the closing, 'A' goes through the wreckage at Emily's house. I feel that in next week's episode things are about to get crazy! Just one episode away from #WorldWarA!
