The 'Teen Wolf' gang were looking into the eye of the storm in this week's 'The Overlooked'. Most of the episode took place in the Beacon Hills Memorial hospital while a major storm raged outside, much like 'Grey's Anatomy's season 9 finale but with supernatural creatures. After Derek learns of Jennifer's true identity, thanks to mistletoe provided by Scott (Merry Christmas, bitch!), they take Jennifer to the hospital so she can heal Cora. Although the Alpha pack is already there, waiting to settle business with Jennifer.
While fighting the twins in their werewolf form, Derek discovers that Jennifer has escaped. Unfortunately Melissa is abducted by Deucalion and Kali. Upstairs, Jennifer returns to save Cora but she won't do it in the hospital so the gang needs to escape from the alpha pack.
Scott finds out that Deucalion has his mother when Melissa makes an announcement to say that if they hand over Jennifer then they can go free. Jennifer tells the gang that Deucalion won't hurt Melissa because he wants Scott for his alpha pack. Oops, Scott's secret is out! The most important thing right now though is getting out of the hospital. Scott & Peter plan to distract the twins while Stiles, Jennifer and Derek sneak out with Cora. However, Kali is hot on Jennifer's tail so Stiles locks himself in an ambulance while Derek and Jennifer run for their lives. They get as far as the elevator when Deucalion cuts the power, leaving them trapped inside. At this point, Deucalion lets Melissa go. Maybe he's not all bad?
Stiles tries his best to resuscitate Cora when he finds that she isn't breathing. Thankfully he succeeds and then gets a little emotion while thinking about his father. Then Scott shows up with Peter but he goes back into the hospital to get Melissa, Derek and Jennifer. Inside he fights the twins and Melissa saves the day by using the defibrillator on them.
We learn that Jennifer's real name is Julia and she was part of Kali's pack. Flashback: Deucalion asked Kali to kill her pack so she could be part of his Alpha pack but Kali didn't quite go through with Julia's killing. Now Julia is seeking her revenge on the alphas. In the elevator, Derek admits that during the lunar eclipse werewolves lose all their power. Meanwhile, Scott stumbles upon Allison, Chris and Isaac which is good because they set a plan into motion in order to get out. I guess that Jennifer/Julia isn't a woman of her word cause when the power gets turned back on, she turns into her demon form and escapes without helping Cora and taking Derek down in the process. On the roof, Scott realizes that Jennifer has taken his mother (ugh, Melissa!) because a parent is a guardian, meaning Melissa will be sacrificed. Thus Scott makes a deal with Deucalion to get his mother and the sheriff back. Speaking of those two, they're chilling in a cellar below ground.
Disclaimer: I have no idea what's happening this season. Seriously though I'm clueless but I tried my best. Is anyone else as confused as I am? I'm still going along for the ride!
