9O21O: Misery Loves Company Recap/Review

So '9O21O' returned this week from a much needed break with 'Misery Loves Company'. Don't get me wrong, this show is seriously the worst and I hope it gets canceled but this episode wasn't as bad as many other episodes this season has been. The episode starts right where the last episode ended, with Liam all tied up and being held captive by his crazy security guard, Ashley. This girl is on a whole other level of insane and she shows it later. While Liam is chilling in the basement of The Offshore, Adrianna walks in on Dixon in bed with Megan because she's mad about her contract or something. This spooks Megan and she's already running for the door by the time Dixon turns his attention back to her. At Silver's apartment, Teddy shows up to discuss the baby issues but he's real confusing to me because he knew what Silver wanted so why change that on her now? At Naomi's house, she's missing Max but also needs to move on so she takes off her wedding ring. Then Adrianna comes to talk because she's annoyed with Dixon. The girls decide to go on a drive to get away from their troubles.

While Naomi and Adrianna are driving by the coast, they talk about old times and it reminds me of when these two were actually supposed to be best friends. They then see a turn off for hot springs and they feel like that's just what they need. Cut to Annie and Vanessa, who are still searching for Liam. Seriously though, how is Vanessa still alive? When Annie tells Vanessa about Ashley, Vanessa calls the studio and finds out that they didn't assign a bodyguard for Liam. Meanwhile, Silver finds Dixon at Naomi's house where he's setting up a concert to celebrate his new record label. Silver talks to him about her Teddy issues and Dixon basically tells her that she isn't ready for child so she shouldn't be considering having one right now. I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually agree with Dixon for once. After Adrianna and Naomi have soaked in the hot springs, they find that their clothes are missing. Noami put her wedding ring in her pants so they need to find their clothes, fast. Two hippies tell them that they saw some bikers snooping around their car and there's a biker bar not far. Although, the girls need clothes until then so they borrow some hippie clothes. Back with Liam, he actually gets freed from his chains but Ashley arrives back and bodychecks (basically) him to the ground. He didn't think that out too well.

Liam wakes up and finds himself tied up again and then Ashley reveals her plan. She wants to put him in a box and send him to Southern Mexico. I am not making this up, this is seriously what she wanted to do, she had a box and everything. After this, Naomi and Adrianna arrive at the biker bar to find out that hippies aren't allowed to which Naomi says "oh good God, he thinks we're Ivy." I actually thought this was really funny at the time. Where even is Ivy now? I wonder if she found Diego? What even is her life? Anyway, the girls rip their clothes to make them look less hippie and then Adrianna finds her song on the bar's jukebox. I'm not gonna lie, I found her reaction here kinda funny too. On the CU campus Dixon finds Megan, I don't understand her reasoning for sleeping with Dixon because it was really bad but she just left after that so... Bye, I guess? On a golf course somewhere, Silver finds Teddy's uncle to talk to him about the baby drama. Elsewhere, Annie breaks into Ashley's house which has pictures of Liam all over it. Back at the bar, Adrianna is grooving to her song when she starts flirting with a biker named Billy. On another side of the bar, Naomi finds a woman wearing her pants and when Naomi questions the lady she says that she bought the pants from a guy that said he needed gas money.

When Silver talks to Teddy's uncle about the situation it feels like she's reached a new low, she should really just listen to Dixon on this one. Outside the biker bar, Adrianna and Billy are getting real close when she gets a message from Dixon so she decides to go back to L.A. and show up at the party. While Vanessa and Annie are searching through Ashley's house, they find the location of Liam which is a shop under the address of The Offshore. Then Naomi arrives at her mother's house to talk about her parent's divorce.

I thought it was great that they brought Naomi's mom back because she left kinda unexpectedly without closure to Naomi's parent's storyline. Naomi tells her mother that she's ignoring all the problems in her marriage just like her parents did. In a really long, kinda boring scene, Naomi learns somehow that Max is the right guy for her and her mother gives her Naomi's grandmother's ring to replace the missing ring. At Dixon's record label party, Rita Ora performs when Adrianna shows up. Meanwhile, Annie and Vanessa hatch a plan while Liam creates a plan of his own, which is to seduce Ashley into freeing him. However, Liam's plan is cut short when Ashley sees Vanessa on the security cameras but Liam at least stole Ashley's taser. Back at the party, Dixon basically tells Adrianna that he doesn't want her in his life. Also at the party, Silver and Teddy's uncle gang up on Teddy who is caught very off guard and really doesn't care what they have to say. But Teddy's uncle says that he'll keep Silver's embryo's frozen or destroy them because these two can't work things out. At The Offshore, Annie finally frees Liam while Vanessa fights Ashley. Annie wants to get out of there but Liam wants to help Vanessa.

As the fight continues, Liam stuns Ashley with the taser to help Vanessa but Ashley is real angry so she points her gun at Liam. Annie runs at Ashley to save Liam but she gets shot instead. A scared Silver forges Teddy's signature to implant the embryos. Back at The Offshore, the cops arrive and Annie bleeds to death. I loved the last part of this episode which was the part in which Annie was dying because everyone knows I've liked Annie in the past and seeing characters in danger makes me happy. Additionally, 'Holding a Heart' by Girl Named Toby was playing at this part and it was such a good song to be playing here. Next week's episode looks interesting, I like how they're doing a parody sort of thing because this show is just a joke at this stage. However, this was probably the best episode all season.

Overall episode score:-
'Misery Loves Company' = C
