Pretty Little Liars: Will the Circle Be Unbroken? Recap/Review

Did anyone else love this week's 'Pretty Little Liars' episode, 'Will the Circle Be Unbroken?' I'm so sad that there's only two episodes left of this season. But I need answers so let's get on with it, the girls meet at the school courtyard because they haven't seen Spencer lately. Then Melissa voices her worries, the liars tell her that they don't know where Spencer is, which is true. However, we know that she has been committed to the Radley. I was really concerned that Spencer's family had no idea that she was at the Radley but we find out that Spencer had been considered a 'Jane Doe', that make's much more sense.

The girls begin to look for their missing friend after school. Although, Aria has other problems as Ezra isn't getting anywhere with his career and he instead wants to go back to teaching. At Radley, Dr. Sullivan discovers Spencer while Hanna and Ashley discover Wilden outside the Rosewood church. What is happening? It seems like he hasn't even been hurt by the hit and run. This doesn't boat well for Ashley as she was trying to move on with her life.

Spencer explains that she lost her bag with her wallet and phone so she didn't tell anyone her name because she didn't want to be Spencer Hastings anymore. She also tells Dr. Sullivan that Toby is dead. I don't know why Spencer didn't say that he was part of the 'A' Team too, maybe Sullivan could have helped? At the Montgomery household, Aria tells Byron about Ezra's current financial situation and she then gets a text from Emily to say that Spencer is okay. Melissa feels like a terrible sister when she goes to visit Spencer but Spence don't care. At the Rear Window Brew, Emily explains everything going on with Spencer and 'A' sends Hanna a picture of Ashley and Wilden from the hit and run. 'A' has the worst timing because they just make bad situation even more bad. Back at Radley, Spencer finds a nurse named 'E. Lamb' which was the name that Toby used to sneak into the Radley while Mona was staying there.

We learn that Ashley has a seminar in New York, if it goes well then she might get a job there. Meaning Ashley and Hanna would move to New York. Hanna convinces her that this would be the best thing right now. Outside Dr. Sullivan's office, the doc talks to Emily about how Spencer found Toby's body but the doctor feels like Spencer might have been seeing things as she entered the forest in 'an adjudicated state'. The next day, Ella and Byron discuss the advantages of helping Ezra find work. Meanwhile, Sullivan raises her theory to Spencer. Everyone needs to stop thinking that Spencer is crazy! I mean, I don't think Toby is really dead either but 'A' still set Spencer up! Then Spence tells Sullivan that she misses her friends. At the Rear Window Brew, Shanna asks Emily to come meet Missy Franklin. At first I didn't realize what was going on because I had forgot that Missy Franklin was making a cameo so in my notes I wrote, 'who is this crazy Missy lady and what is her point?' It was okay acting from Franklin but her smile was a little scary. Maybe Missy Franklin is Big 'A'!? Anyway, Emily discovers that Shanna is a swimmer, it's odd that Paige never shared this information with Emily. In Spencer's Radley room, E. Lamb tells her that there was trouble with the badges concerning people getting out and in. This is followed by Aria and Hanna having a silly conversation about whether the cop car's GPS will stop working now that it's underwater. Whereas back at Radley, Spencer and E. Lamb talk more about the security and the badges. Spencer tells him all about Toby and Mona, E. Lamb remembers Mona but he won't say more. He did say that Spencer's room used to be Mona's room though, leading Spence into a flashback: Mona is loving her hymns at church while Alison mocks her. Sometimes I feel bad for Loser Mona. Afterwards, Ali tells Spencer that she has many diaries and they'll help the girls after Alison is gone.

Byron talks to Ezra about a job, he tells Ezra that there are currently no teaching positions at Hollis. However, Byron does offer his help. Then E. Lamb tells Spencer that a young boy named Toby Cavanaugh used to come to visit his mother at the Radley years ago. Things are starting to make sense now! At school, the liars encounter Mona in the girls room. Aria goes crazy with her on Spencer's behalf! Go Aria! Although, Aria is called to the principal's office who asks her if she's in a relationship with Ezra. Aria says 'no' because Ezra is obviously applying for a job at the high school and Aria doesn't want to ruin his chances. In Rosewood's square, Ashley has coffee with Ted to explain her opportunities in New York. Ted offers any help he can give her (he alludes to Wilden - does Ted know?) so that she'll stay in Rosewood but she declines. At Radley, Mona has come to visit a friend, instead she becomes a pain for Spencer. Mona flaunts Alison's diary entries and says that Ali was never pregnant as that's what she read in the diary. I wish that Spencer had grabbed the diary off Mona because I want answers!

Hanna is staying with Emily while Ashley goes to New York for the seminar. That doesn't stop Wilden though. He finds Hanna and tells her that all he wants is the cop car returned to him and then he'll leave Hanna and her mother alone. I wonder why Wilden wants the car so bad or is it something in the car that he wants? In a group therapy session, Spencer sees her friends in her mind, instead of seeing the other patients. She tells the liars that they don't know her anymore and they can't count on her. Spencer has snapped, I hope the doctor can fix her! Elsewhere, 'A' is driving around in an 'A' Lair on wheels. I'm so excited to find out who Big 'A' is but I don't want the season to end!

Overall episode score:-
'Will the Circle Be Unbroken?' = A+
