Here we are again... 'The Con' was the name of this week's episode of '9O21O' and it wasn't a horrible, hard to watch episode. Although, it wasn't good either. The episode was about the gang all going to a Comic-Con like event named Phenomi-Con. We started with Liam and Lindsey making out in her car, Liam asks her to come to Phenomi-Con with him (he's going to promote his new movie) but she isn't ready to take their relationship public yet. I'm not a fan of this relationship and frankly it bores me. Max, Alec and Naomi try to think of a way to save Max's company. The program that Colin stole has details about the company's new groundbreaking gaming ventures. To fix the problem, they come up with the idea of showing a demo of the game at Phenomi-Con. However, it's going to take a lot of effort to get the demo ready by then so they have an all night coding session. At the college campus, Riley rolls up to apologize to Annie for the things he said at the pop-up. But they quickly start fighting again when Riley admits that he likes Annie and she says that she still wants to give Colin a chance. Isn't it funny how scenes take place on the college campus but we have no idea what classes these kids are taking. Anyway at The Offshore, Silver comes to talk to Liam about going to Phenomi-Con together. Before she sees Liam though she runs into Navid (again) and she is so not interested in him or his clubs, it's kinda hilarious how much she doesn't care about him. Things are not going good for Dixon and Adrianna as she's still angry about what he said to her at the pop-up. Adrianna kissed Taylor though, isn't she feeling at all guilty? Clearly not as she's still have secret rendezvouses with him.
Naomi holds an all night code-a-thon at her house for Max and all his nerds, Naomi can turn anything into a party. She even invites Colin, this won't end well. Back at The Offshore, Navid cries to Taylor about how he thinks Liam and Silver are going to hook up. Navid needs to get over it because Liam is supposed to be his friend. But he doesn't and he tells Taylor that he's going to show Silver the sex tape he found of Liam and Lindsey. Dixon then pops by to make Taylor feel bad about sleeping with Adrianna multiple times. At Naomi's, she is so awake and is trying to keep the nerds awake by giving them a semi-naked lady. Whereas Annie is stocking up on energy drinks and while doing this she runs into Lindsey. Annie basically tells Lindsay that Liam has made a lot of mistakes with girlfriends in his past (um... Annie he dated you, remember?) and then she tells Lindsey to follow her heart or something. Back at Naomi's, she and the rest of the nerds have fallen asleep when Max finally cracks to the code. Colin sees the code, memorizes it and then quickly leaves because that's not suspicious.
When daylight breaks, Naomi is all dressed up and ready for Phenomi-Con, Naomi will take any excuse to get dressed up. At the actual event, Silver tells Liam that Navid is annoying now and he used to be cool when he was into all this comic book stuff, I agree with Silver. However, I don't remember Navid being into comic books in high school, I hate when '9O21O' rewrites their own history. Lindsey then shows up to support Liam. She's in costume so no-one will recognize her. This was a nice gesture but do they seriously expect us to think that these two are in love when they don't really know each-other? Back in Beverly Hills, Adrianna meets up with Taylor for some more loving. I hate that Adrianna doesn't feel bad at all, it's like old high school Adrianna, where's the character development? Although, Taylor feels bad and he tells Adrianna to end things with Dixon if she wants his body. For Phenomi-Con, Naomi made Annie dress up as an elf and she actually does look like an elf. This is besides the point though, Annie doesn't think that Colin is coming but she sees him rooming about so she follows him. We are then told that Lindsey is a big nerd that likes to sniff comic books because that's normal. Lindsey leaves and Navid shows up to have a spat with Liam and Navid gives the sex tape to the guy in charge of showing a sneak preview of Liam's new movie. Annie finds Colin giving a presentation and all becomes uncovered when Colin shows a demo of his company's new game which is really Max's company's new game.
This is all Annie's fault. Not really, it's Naomi's fault too but Naomi puts all the blame on Annie. If you ask me Colin is a freak, Annie knows how to pick them. In Beverly Hills, Adrianna finds Dixon on the floor. Remember how he was having nerve problems last episode? I thought they were going to abandon that storyline but they brought it back. However, it would have played out better in last episode when Dixon was DJing because there would have been a lesson to learn like 'don't push yourself too hard too soon' but it means nothing in this episode. At Phenomi-Con, Silver spies Navid buying a geeky action figure or something and she thinks that she has seen a glimpse of the old Navid. When she tells Navid this, he starts to feel bad about the whole sex tape thing so he tries to get it back and fails. During the preview of Liam's movie, a reporter asks him and his co-star if they are dating but Lindsey comes up with her mask off and tells the reporter that she and Liam are dating. I guess that she wants to take things public now, make up your mind Lindsey! So the preview starts and the sex tape shows and Lindsey is embarrassed and all is undone. Also, isn't it very 'Gossip Girl' to show a sex tape at a big event (see: 'Monstrous Ball').
When Silver and Liam discuss Liam's big adventure, she starts accusing Navid right away. I mean she ain't wrong but damn girl that's your homie. Dixon's in hospital, it's all boring, I don't really know what happened, Adrianna's sorry because she knows Dixon was under stress, blah, blah, blah. Back with Silver, she runs out into the parking lot and Navid confesses everything. Can we be done with Navid now, he's an annoying character. During Max's presentation Alec starts blaming Naomi for everything that's happened and she gives him a smack-down. Finally, he needed that. Annie is sulking with Silver while Alec and Naomi fight. But Annie isn't sad for long because her knight in shining wheels comes to save her from her despair. Meaning Riley rolls up to tell her that Dixon is in the hospital but everything's going to be okay. Max breaks up the fight between Naomi and Alec and Naomi tells Max that he has to choose between them. Naomi, you should have said this weeks ago.
Outside Phenomi-Con Riley sees Colin and sucker punches him, yay Riley! The next day (I'm guessing) Lindsey and Liam break-up, that didn't last very long. As do Adrianna and Taylor but the catch is that Taylor breaks up Adrianna. She is seriously the worst, she should have broken up with him. It would be so funny if Adrianna got pregnant again. At The Offshore, Liam tells Navid that there's no more friendship between them, I'm Team Liam on this because Navid was a crappy friend. Max also tells Alec that they have no more friendship and he's going to buy Alec out of the company. This is kinda sad though cause they're best friends and Naomi came between them. I mean Alec is a weirdo but Naomi should have let them be friends and go off somewhere else. Not as bad as last week but '9O21O' will probably be terrible again next week. See you then...
